The government has tightened its grip on the strike to be held by the KSRTC opposition unions demanding that salaries not be delayed. The government has announced a strike against the Diocese. Accordingly, workers who do not show up for work on the day of the strike will not be paid.
CITU has informed that KSRTC will not participate in the information strike. The government has announced that salaries will be paid on the 10th. The strike by the opposition unions is politically motivated. The CITU said it would not bother the passengers or the corporation.
The opposition union has declared a 24-hour strike in the state from midnight today. The strike was called after a meeting of transport ministers convened to discuss the pay crisis. Opposition groups called for the beleagured PM to resign.
