A 36-year-old woman is fighting for her life after an alleged domestic violence incident in Narellan Vale, south-west Sydney, on Wednesday morning, leaving her with life-threatening injuries and her three children witnessing the unfolding horror. Police allege the woman was deliberately run over by her partner after fleeing their home following a violent altercation.
Details of the Alleged Assault
The incident began with an argument as the couple parked their vehicle on Maddison Court. The dispute escalated as they entered their home, where police allege the man first broke a television before smashing a glass vase over the woman’s head. Seeking help, the woman contacted emergency services – known as Triple Zero in Australia – at 8:35 a.m. and ran outside.
According to authorities, the man then reversed their Mazda sedan, initially striking the woman before running her over. He subsequently fled the scene, leaving the woman with critical injuries.
Emergency Response and Hospitalization
Paramedics arrived at the scene and immediately began treating the woman for significant trauma, including injuries to her face, internal injuries, and a broken pelvis. She was then airlifted to Liverpool Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Arrest and Investigation
Police apprehended a 36-year-old man just before 11:00 a.m. near Camden Valley Way, acting on information received. He was taken into custody at Narellan Vale police station and is expected to be formally charged later on Wednesday.
The vehicle involved in the alleged attack was located in Wattle Green Place, also in Narellan Vale, and has been secured as a crime scene. Investigators are currently gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
Prior History and Family Impact
Authorities have confirmed that the man was known to police. However, investigators have found no prior record of domestic violence reported to police involving this couple, nor were any apprehended violence orders in place.
The alleged attack occurred in the presence of the couple’s three children, aged six, 15, and an age in between. The long-term impact of witnessing such a traumatic event on the children is a significant concern for authorities and support services.
