The Museo Fangio in Argentina has been recognized for it’s dedication to preserving and promoting the legacy of five-time Formula One World Champion Juan Manuel Fangio, receiving the 2025 FIA Founding Members’ Club Heritage Promotion Cup.
The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the governing body for global motorsport, announced the award during its General Assemblies week in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The recognition underscores the museum’s commitment to safeguarding automotive history and inspiring future generations.
Celebrating a Century of Motorsport Legacy
established in 2024 to commemorate the FIA’s 120th anniversary, the Heritage Promotion Cup acknowledges individuals or projects that effectively raise awareness of automotive heritage for a global audience. The FIA Founding Members’ Club (FMC), comprised of the 13 original clubs that formed the Federation, created the award to ensure the FIA’s rich history continues to inform its future.
The Museo Fangio was nominated by the automóvil Club Argentino (ACA) and selected for its exceptional curation, educational programs, and consistent efforts to engage communities thru innovative storytelling. The museum’s work is particularly lauded for its dedication to the cultural and sporting legacy of Juan Manuel Fangio.
