Louis Vuitton Takes Title Sponsorship of Monaco Grand Prix in Expanding F1 Partnership
A landmark deal solidifies the luxury brand’s presence in Formula 1, with the iconic race now officially known as the Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco. The agreement extends a growing relationship between the racing series and the LVMH conglomerate.
The 2025 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix saw a thrilling victory by McLaren driver Lando Norris. Though, the race will be remembered for more than just on-track action, as louis Vuitton has secured title sponsorship, marking a meaningful expansion of its involvement in the sport.
This multi-year agreement, a collaboration between Louis Vuitton, Formula 1, and the Automobile Club de monaco, promises prominent branding throughout the event. The partnership builds on Louis Vuitton’s existing presence, having been a partner of the Monaco Grand prix from 2021 through 2024. This new deal ensures the fashion house will maintain a prominent role through at least 2026,representing its sixth consecutive year of involvement.
The Monaco Grand Prix is the second race on the F1 calendar to receive title sponsorship from Louis Vuitton, following a similar agreement for the Australian Grand Prix at the start of 2025.That initial deal included extensive trackside advertising and a role in key ceremonial moments. The brand’s influence will be further showcased through the presentation of podium trophies housed in specially designed Louis Vuitton ‘Trophy Trunks’ – a design previously utilized at prestigious events like the FIFA World Cup, the America’s Cup, and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
This expanded partnership is part of a broader,decade-long agreement between Formula 1 and LVMH,announced in October 2024 and running through 2034. Under this umbrella agreement, other LVMH brands, including watchmaker Tag Heuer and spirits company Moët Hennessy, have also established commercial partnerships with F1. Tag Heuer previously held the title sponsorship for the Monaco Grand Prix.
The louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco is scheduled to take place from June 4 through 7, continuing to utilize its famed street circuit layout. According to a statement from F1 President and Chief Executive Stefano Domenicali in January, “The entry of Louis Vuitton not only enhances the experience of our sport, but celebrates the union of luxury, craftsmanship, and the highest expression of automotive competition.”
This strategic alliance signals a growing convergence between the worlds of high fashion and motorsport, promising a unique and elevated experience for fans and stakeholders alike.
