Rishon LeZion and President of the Chief Rabbinical Council, Chief Rabbi Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef, publishes today (Friday) a ruling according to which license holders of weapons will come to the synagogue on Shabbat Kodesh.
The ruling published by Rishon LeZion reads: “Due to the tense security situation, a license holder to carry a weapon will bring it to the synagogue and help secure the public, and it is appropriate to keep the weapon modest so that it does not stand out. Shabbat Shalom.”
As mentioned in a brutal massacre that took place last night in the ultra-Orthodox city of Elad, three civilians were killed and three others were seriously injured, in the hospital two of the wounded were killed.
A statement issued last night to all Carlin Stolin Hasidic concentrations across the country on behalf of the Carlin Rabbinical Committee states that “in the Holy Order, due to the security situation in our holy land, anyone carrying a licensed weapon is asked to bring it to synagogues at any site, on weekdays and Holy Shabbat.”
