Officially set up on March 8, the symbolic date of International Women’s Rights Day, the idea was launched last year during one of the team meetings regularly organized within this Toulouse-based company. office furniture. “The question was asked and the project was built at the beginning of the year so that it would be accepted by everyone. We therefore created a consent charter,” explains the manager.

In concrete terms, each employee has a day off or an additional teleworking day that can be used each month. Based on trust, this system will be tested for a year before taking stock and evaluating the number of days actually laid, the feelings of the teams and the impact on the production rate. “I think about 20% of the quota will be used. We are in a corporate culture where people are really committed”, assures Thomas Devineaux, who is delighted that the media coverage around this approach has led several companies to contact him for information.

Today, the company, created in 2018, has 18 people. It hopes to double its turnover this year (around one million euros in 2021), counting on its eco-responsible positioning. “Our furniture comes from eco-managed forests and we are able to disassemble, reassemble and reuse it almost endlessly,” says its founder. “We want to participate in revolutionizing this very polluting industry, which generates 250,000 tonnes of non-recycled waste per year in France. »
