A groundbreaking new cultural program, “Change Street,” is set to premiere on the ENA channel on Saturday, July 20th, bringing together a diverse array of top Korean and Japanese artists to celebrate the 60th anniversary of normalized diplomatic relations between the two nations. The show promises a unique busking experience, fostering communication and connection through the universal language of music.
A Celebration of Cultural Harmony
“Change Street,” directed by Oh Jun-seong, represents a large-scale effort to bridge cultural gaps through artistic collaboration. According to a company release, the program will see leading artists from both countries immerse themselves in each other’s cultures, navigating differences in language and sensibility to create a shared musical experience. The concept aims to deliver a fresh perspective on cultural exchange, moving beyond traditional performances to capture the authentic energy of the streets and the people who inhabit them.
Korean Artists Prepare to Take the Stage
The Korean artist lineup boasts a compelling mix of established stars and rising talents. A second group features actors Lee Dong-hwi, Lee Sang-i, and Ji-so Jeong alongside MAMAMOO’s Whee-in, with expectations high for a particularly emotive performance given the actors’ sensibilities and Wheein’s renowned vocal ability. Rounding out the Korean contingent are Lee Seung-gi, Super Junior’s Ryeowook, Chungha, and Tomorrow by Together’s Taehyun, who plan to deliver a high-energy spectacle in Tokyo.

DJCO, the leader of the iconic group TRF, will be joined by Ai Takahashi, KENJI03, Ai Tomioka, and Rainie, representing styles ranging from EDM to rock and pop. Miwa and Kanou Miyu are expected to offer a more intimate experience with their refined vocals, while Crystal Kei, Kumi Koda, May J., and Takaya Kawasaki are anticipated to generate significant synergy with their individual strengths.
Hosting Duo and Behind-the-Scenes Support
Adding to the program’s appeal are the charismatic MCs Shin Dong-yeop and U-Know Yunho, whose witty banter and elegant hosting style are expected to enhance the viewing experience. Supporting the artists are managers Gangnam and Matsuda, whose combined perspectives and sensibilities will provide a unique lens on the creative process. One analyst noted that the dynamic between the MCs and managers will likely offer viewers a glimpse behind the curtain, revealing the challenges and triumphs of bringing such a large-scale production to life.
