Asian Games indefinitely postponed

by time news

As the Corona impact intensifies again in China, the Asian Games scheduled to be held there in September have been postponed indefinitely.

The 19th Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 10 to 25. Competitors from various countries, including India, are actively preparing for it.

In this situation, the impact of the corona in China has intensified again. A general freeze has been declared in the city of Hangzhou, where the tournament was to be held, following the outbreak of the disease. Doubts arose as to the conduct of the competition there in such an environment.

The Asian Olympic Council, the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Hangzhou Asian Games Coordinating Committee met in Uzbekistan on Friday to discuss the issue. At the meeting, it was decided to postpone the Asian Games indefinitely and to announce a new date later.

Following this announcement, the Asian Olympic Council (IOC) said that the competition would not change its logo. More than 11,000 athletes from 61 divisions competed in the event.

Contradicts are of the opinion that the postponement of the match will reduce their motivation and that the result of this postponement will give them more time to prepare for the match.
