Three college students who ate shawarma in Orathanadu, Tanjore district, fell ill and fainted. Food safety officials raided Shawarma outlets at various locations.

Praveen, Parimaleswaran and Manikandan, students staying at the Orathanadu Government Veterinary College hostel, ate chicken shawarma at a shop on the Orathanadu section road. The trio fell ill and fainted after going to the hotel.
