During the second year of the DMK government, the Chief Minister announced 5 new projects. Stalin announced in the legislature.
Chief Minister’s announcement on:
“The DMK released its election manifesto before coming to power. The promise is that we will implement everything mentioned in the election manifesto in 5 years.
However, we have completed 60 to 70 percent of the announcements this year. There is not enough time to list all these. No time.
Every state has a purpose, a path. This state also has a purpose, a path. I have named it as Dravidian Model. Its content is that everything is for everyone.
I’m going to post some announcements that will make people happy on this happy day that marks the end of the year and the start of the second year.

Glad to release some very important 5 great projects.
- Breakfast will be served to government school students in the morning. In the first phase, the project will be launched in some corporations, municipalities and remote villages. Primary school students from 1st to 5th class will be provided with nutritious snacks in the morning on all school days.
We will provide this through local bodies. The scheme will be gradually extended to all areas.
- The second project is aimed at creating a nutrient-free Tamil Nadu.
The program is designed to help children under the age of 6 develop well. We have a wide range of clinical trials for children. The government has decided to set up a special nutrition program for children in need of medical care and nutrition. Children will benefit under this scheme.
Project of Thakasal Schools. I went to Delhi last April and Thakasal schools will be set up all over Tamil Nadu. The first phase is Rs. At an estimated cost of Rs 150 crore, 25 corporation and government high schools will be upgraded to schools. The basic structures of these schools will be rehabilitated. The buildings will be modernized. At the same time a structure will be created in those schools that will include all the facilities such as arts, literature, music, dance, recipe science, sports, craft activities so that the students can give due importance to the learning activities. I promise that these types of schools will be gradually expanded in all the districts of Tamil Nadu.
The fourth plan is the plan to set up urban medical centers. These clinics are located in urban areas as well as primary health centers and ancillary health centers in the villages.
In the first phase, 708 urban medical centers will be set up in 21 corporations and 63 municipalities, including the Chennai Metropolitan Corporation.
These clinics will have their own building at a cost of Rs 180.45 crore. These 708 outpatient services will operate from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. These centers will have a doctor, a nurse and an assistant. Through this project, Tamil Nadu will achieve the goal of well-being for all by 2030 by ensuring that the poor receive free medical care in all urban medical centers in Tamil Nadu.
CM plan in your constituency. To further expand this scheme, it will be implemented in 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu.
Based on the recommendations of the members of the respective legislature on the long overdue requirements of all 234 constituencies, each member of the legislature will review with the relevant authorities, including the District Collector. Funds will be allocated on a priority basis to implement them in the next few financial years.
Each member of the Legislature is required to know the needs of the people in their constituency and submit a list of 10 major projects to the respective District Collector. The most important projects in the list have been identified and the government has taken steps to implement on a priority basis the projects which are not operational under the existing government schemes.
This year alone, Rs. 1000 crore will be allocated. This project is going to take place under my direct supervision.
I assure you that in all my constituencies, whether it is the Kolathur constituency, the Edappadi constituency of the Leader of the Opposition, or the Bodi constituency of the Deputy Leader of the Opposition, plans will be drawn up to treat all constituencies equally.
