A joint statement released by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Rustem Umerov and Steve Witkoff, a representative involved in the talks, said the ukrainian delegation held “a series of productive and constructive meetings with American and European partners.” Donald Trump’s special envoy also noted the meetings were “productive and constructive” in a social media post, specifying they took place “over the past three days in Florida.”
Along with umerov, those in attendance included the Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Andriy Hnatov, witkoff, Jared Kushner, and White House staff member Josh Gruenbaum. The meetings, according to a statement, “were attended by important European national security advisors to find a common strategic approach between ukraine, the United States and Europe.”
A separate bilateral meeting between the U.S.and Ukraine also took place in Miami, during which “four key documents were discussed: the further progress of a 20-point plan, the alignment of positions on a multilateral framework of security guarantees, the alignment of positions on a framework of American security guarantees for Ukraine, and the further development of a plan for economy and prosperity.”
