GRe4N BOYZ & &TEAM Unite for Passionate B.LEAGUE Anthem, “OTAKEBI feat. &TEAM”
A new collaboration is poised to energize Japan’s professional basketball scene: GRe4N BOYZ have partnered with global group &TEAM to deliver the official theme song, “OTAKEBI feat. &TEAM,” for the Resona Group B.LEAGUE 2025-26 SEASON. The track, set for release on December 22, 2025, at 9:00 PM JST, aims to amplify the excitement surrounding the league’s 10th anniversary and its evolution into a new era.
The partnership signifies a significant moment for both musical acts. GRe4N BOYZ, known for crafting anthems for various sports, including the official cheering song “Kachi Doki” for the Japan Men’s and Women’s Basketball Team Akatsuki Five (now AKATSUKI JAPAN), bring a proven track record to the project. “I’m very happy to be able to create a basketball song during this important season,” a representative from GRe4N BOYZ stated, expressing enthusiasm for contributing to the league’s milestone year.
&TEAM, serving as the official ambassador for B.LEAGUE’s 10th anniversary, will not only lend their vocals to “OTAKEBI feat. &TEAM” but also star in the accompanying music video. The visual narrative depicts a fierce basketball battle, with &TEAM members – NICHOLAS, EJ, MAKI, FUMA, YUMA, HARUA, and TAKI – taking on the roles of players. The video centers around NICHOLAS’s journey from a bench player to a key contributor in a crucial match, showcasing the dedication and teamwork inherent in the sport.
The music video promises dynamic action sequences, featuring the &TEAM members in full basketball uniform, demonstrating their athletic abilities. Viewers can anticipate seeing NICHOLAS’s impressive dribbling skills and a choreographed dance during the chorus that incorporates a “fang” gesture inspired by the song’s lyrics. Point-of-view shots will offer an immersive experience, allowing fans to witness the on-court communication and expressions of EJ and MAKI through NICHOLAS’s perspective.
Adding another layer of inspiration to the project is the inclusion of Kazuma Tsuya, a professional basketball player for Sanen Neo Phoenix, who appears in the music video as an opposing player. Tsuya is slated to join the Japan men’s national team in February 2025 and brings a unique story of resilience to the collaboration. Despite a hearing impairment, Tsuya has excelled in the sport, earning MVP honors at the 2018 U21 Deaf Basketball World Championship. His close friend, GRe4N BOYZ member 92, a former basketball player himself, personally requested Tsuya’s participation, recognizing his inspiring story.
“OTAKEBI feat. &TEAM” is designed to be more than just a song; it’s intended to be a unifying force, igniting passion among players, fans, and all who love the game. The collaboration aims to capture the energy of the B.LEAGUE and create a shared experience of excitement and camaraderie.
