The tragic discovery occurred at the Fairmont hotel in San Francisco.
San Francisco firefighters responded to a call from a hotel guest who found Jones in a hallway at 2:52 a.m. Paramedics assessed the situation and pronounced her deceased, according to a statement cited by The Guardian. Police and the coroner’s department arrived on the scene at 3:14 a.m. to begin an investigation.
Local television station NBC reported that, as of January 2, there was no evidence of foul play surrounding her death, though the cause of death remains undetermined.
Victoria Jones was the second daughter of Tommy Lee Jones, 79, and his wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. The couple also share a son, Austin, 43.
