Taiwan just got a new smartphone option: the Oppo Reno15, which debuted alongside the Reno15 Pro Max and Reno15 Pro. The standard Reno15 appears to be a slightly tweaked version of the Reno15c released in China last month.
A Reno for Every Region
Oppo is strategically releasing variations of its Reno15 series to cater to different markets.
Oppo already offers a Reno15 in China powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. However, the global version switches things up with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. This difference highlights Oppo’s approach to tailoring hardware based on regional availability and consumer preferences.
The global Reno15 boasts a vibrant 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ resolution. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i provides a layer of durability. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Reno15’s triple-camera system. It features a 50MP primary wide camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and autofocus, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide unit. For selfies, there’s a 50MP front-facing camera.
Powering the Reno15 is a substantial 6,500mAh battery, supported by 80W fast charging. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and an impressive IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone ships with Android 16 and Oppo’s ColorOS 16.
Pricing for the Reno15 starts at NT$ 17,990 (approximately $570) for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage configuration. Stepping up to the 12GB/512GB model will cost NT$ 19,990 (around $640).
The Reno15 is currently available for purchase in Taiwan in Aurora White and Sky Blue color options. Looking ahead, the Reno15 series is slated to launch in India on January 8.
