Israel’s men’s team in wheelchairs finished today (Sunday) in seventh place in the world championships held in Portugal, after beating Argentina 0: 2 in the manner category. The team has secured its participation in next year’s World Cup.
The players of the team, members of Ilan Spivak Ramat Gan, are Adam Berdychevsky, Guy Sasson and Sergei Lisov, and the captain Ofer SelaWho said at the end of the championship: “I am very proud of all the guys here. A man with a lot of quiet and experience, a guy with patriotism and fighting spirit, and Sergei who made a big jump and seems to have someone to rely on later, thanks to Asi Stockol who helped me a lot with his knowledge and experience.”
