Police are investigating after the body of a mysterious schoolboy was recovered from a pond near Nagercoil two days ago.
Nijibu hails from Dittuvilai near Nagercoil in Kanyakumari district. He lives with his family in Vizhinjam near Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He has two sons and a daughter. The eldest son Adil Mohammad (12) was a seventh standard student in Kerala State School.
In this case, two days ago, Mohammad came to his grandmother’s house in Tittuvilai. Following this, his family lodged a complaint at the Poothapandi police station last Friday seeking to find the missing boy.
Following this, the body of Aadil Mohammad floated in the water while the fishermen went fishing in the pond at Nandikuri near Dittuvilai. Poothapandi police arrived at the scene and seized Mohammad’s body and are conducting an investigation.
Police are conducting an intensive investigation on suspicion that the deceased boy may have been abducted and murdered due to bloody wounds on his body. The incident has caused tragedy in the region.
