Philippe Gilbert treats himself to the Four Days of Dunkirk

by time news

Never threatened during an uneventful day, the Belgian Philippe Gilbert (Lotto Soudal) won the 66th edition of the Four Days of Dunkirk on Sunday May 8, the 6th and last stage of which went to his compatriot Gerben Thijssen (Intermarché-Wanty) in the sprint in the French port city. In the final general classification, Gilbert, a 39-year-old future retiree with 80 successes, is ahead of another Belgian, Oliver Naesen (AG2R Citroën), and the Briton Jake Stewart (Groupama-FDJ).
