Malén Báez,a 16-year-old wushu kung fu practitioner from Pilar,Argentina,is urgently seeking financial support to compete in the 10th World Junior Wushu Championships in Tianjin,China,this March.
“Unfortunately, being able to fulfill this dream requires a lot of expenses and that is why I am looking for a sponsor or any financial help,” Báez expresses in a recent video posted to Instagram. The young athlete detailed the significant costs associated with travel, registration, and readiness for the international competition.
Báez’s journey to the World Cup hasn’t been without its triumphs. She previously earned four gold medals at the South American Championship, achievements that fueled her growth and ultimately led to this opportunity. “This path was full of sacrifices and also very vital achievements… allowing me to continue growing and being able to get here,” she said.
