Chief Thomas Chisholm stabbed in Paris: the 19-year-old suspect indicted and imprisoned

by time news

The 19-year-old man referred at the end of his police custody, after the stabbing of an ex-candidate of “Top Chef” on the night of Sunday to Monday, was indicted Thursday “from head of violence aggravated by three circumstances (use of a weapon, meeting and premeditation)”, indicates this Thursday a judicial source. This young man was then placed in pre-trial detention, “in accordance with the requisitions of the prosecution” of Paris, adds this source.

As we revealed on Tuesday, this suspect would not be the author of the stab wound which injured the young Franco-American chef Thomas Chisholm in the right thigh, Sunday evening in front of the ephemeral Grand Palais (Paris VII). The police, on the other hand, would suspect this young clerk of being at the initiative of the brawl which opposed two groups at the time of the events, then of having designated a target for his troops. The ex-candidate of Top chef would then have been stabbed by mistake, instead of this target. On Tuesday evening, investigators were still trying to identify the perpetrator.

Brawl involving ten people

The facts were tied in the night from Sunday to Monday, at the closing evening of the gastronomic festival Taste of Paris. It was almost one o’clock in the morning when a dispute allegedly broke out on a background of alcohol between two men, in front of door C, reserved for accredited professionals. A dozen protagonists would then have taken part in the brawl. It was in this context that Thomas Chisholm was stabbed in the back of his right thigh. Quickly taken care of by the emergency services with his vital prognosis engaged, the state of health of the boss of the Chocho had been stabilized.
