Police responded to an emergency call at 6:49 a.m. and found Underwood with severe injuries to her head and upper body. she was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are currently searching for the driver of the vehicle involved. Preliminary reports indicate Underwood may have been crossing the street against a red light.
