The Chinese company OnePlus has officially announced three new affordable Nord devices, the OnePlus Nord 2T, OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite and OnePlus Nord Buds wireless headphones.
The OnePlus Nord 2T starts at £369 (€399) and is best viewed as an upgraded version of the OnePlus Nord 2.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is a lower model than the OnePlus Nord CE 2 and starts at £279 (€299).
And there’s the OnePlus Nord Buds, which sell for £49 (€49).
OnePlus Nord 2T
The OnePlus Nord 2T is the company’s first phone with Mediatek’s new Dimensity 1300 chipset and also offers a 90Hz refresh rate display and 80W fast charging.
As the successor to the OnePlus Nord 2, the OnePlus Nord 2T brings improvements in three key areas, namely the chipset, selfie camera and charging speeds.
Starting with the chipset, the OnePlus Nord 2T is the first OnePlus phone to feature a Dimensity 1300 chip built on a 6nm manufacturing process with one Arm-Cortex A78 core clocked at 3GHz, three additional A78s running at 2.6GHz and four energy-efficient A55s cores At a frequency of 2 GHz. And the GPU side is covered by the Arm Mali-G77 MC9.
There is a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. This panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and features a 32MP selfie camera.
The back also houses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 766 main sensor. Together with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP monochrome sensor.
It covers OxygenOS 12.1 and Android 12 software aspect. The phone includes a 4,500 mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.
The OnePlus Nord 2T comes in Jade Fog and Gray Shadow colours. Pricing starts at €399 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. While the 12/256 GB model is sold for 499 euros.
Open sales start on May 24 through the OnePlus Store and retail partners. Early orders come with the free OnePlus Buds Z2 wireless earbuds.
OnePlus announces three new devices
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite comes in at €299, just under €349 for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 released earlier this year.
At this price, OnePlus gives you a device powered by the Snapdragon 695 processor with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
It also contains a 5000 mAh battery that can be charged at a speed of up to 33 watts. It includes triple rear cameras with a 64-megapixel main sensor. Along with a 6.59-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
In addition, there are OnePlus Nord Buds headphones that support Dolby Atmos. It provides seven hours of playback per charge (up to 30 hours on a case charge). It also has an IP55 dust and water resistance rating.
