A recent interview with actor Ajaz Khan has shed light on a long-simmering feud with comedian Kapil Sharma, sparking discussion among fans on social media. Khan detailed the circumstances surrounding an unaired appearance on Sharma’s show and the emotional toll it took, while also addressing separate legal issues.
The Unseen Episode and Its Aftermath
Khan revealed that despite being invited to appear on Sharma’s program, the episode featuring his segment was ultimately never broadcast. This decision, he explained, deeply affected him. “Dosti hai apna yaar. Show mein bulaya tha, main gaya tha. Uske baad woh show mein dikhaya nahi. Mujhe bura laga. Maine socha jab aadmi pahunchta hai, kuch karta hai aur phir usse dikhate nahi, toh bura lagta hai,” Khan stated, translating to: “He’s a friend of mine. He had called me to the show, so I went. After that, they didn’t show me on the show. I felt really bad. I thought that when a person comes, does something, and they still don’t show it, it feels bad.”
The actor further recounted a subsequent conversation with Sharma, where he sought clarification. According to Khan, Sharma responded that the channel held the ultimate decision on when, or if, the footage would air. “Usne bola, ‘Haan bhai, tu aaya tha, lekin channel jab chahega tab dikhayega,’” Khan recalled Sharma saying, meaning, “‘Yes brother, you did come, but the channel will show it when they want to.’”
Talent and Suppression?
Khan suggested a potential link between his creative approach and the decision not to air his segment. He posited that individuals who are “zyada talented hote ho, zyada aggressive hote ho, aur apne kaam ko lekar bahut serious hote ho, toh tumhein roka jaata hai” – or, “very talented, very aggressive, and very serious about your work, you are stopped.” This statement implies a belief that his dedication and passion may have been perceived as a threat.
Separate Legal Concerns
The discussion surrounding the feud with Sharma comes as Khan also faces legal challenges. Reports indicate a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against him concerning “fake news” and “objectionable” content shared on social media.
The situation highlights the complexities of navigating the entertainment industry and the potential for personal and professional conflicts to arise, even among friends.
