According to a statement released by the agency, the water level in some areas reached 50 centimeters. A senior official stated, “BPBD noted that currently 1 RT and 8 roads are flooded.”
Highest Water levels Recorded in North Jakarta
The most significant inundation was recorded on Jalan Gaya Motor 2,near the Sungai Bambu Exit in North Jakarta,reaching a height of 50 cm.This represents the highest water level reported as of 10:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time). Other affected areas include West Jakarta, where one RT in the South Sukabumi area is experiencing flooding with a water level of 40 cm. The agency attributes the flooding directly to the high volume of rainfall.
Rapid response and Mitigation Efforts Underway
BPBD DKI Jakarta has deployed personnel to monitor the situation and coordinate with various city services – including the SDA Service, bina Marga Service, and Gulkarmat Service – to clear floodwaters and ensure drainage systems are functioning effectively. these efforts are being conducted in collaboration with local village and sub-district heads. Authorities are optimistic that the inundation will recede quickly.
