UFC Announces Doubled Fight Night Bonuses and New Finish Incentives

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is significantly increasing fighter compensation with a revamped bonus structure, doubling existing fight night awards and introducing a new incentive for every bout ending in a finish.

The changes, announced Thursday, will take effect at UFC 324 on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Traditionally, the UFC awarded four $50,000 bonuses per event – recognizing two top performers and the participants in the “Fight of the Night.” These coveted awards will now be worth $100,000.

A Boost for All Fighters

Beyond the increased standard bonuses, the UFC will now award an additional $25,000 to any athlete who achieves a finish – a knockout, submission, or technical knockout – but does not receive one of the $100,000 performance bonuses. This means every fighter who secures a definitive victory will be financially rewarded for their effort.

“This is about recognizing the incredible athletes who put everything on the line every time they step into the Octagon,” a senior official stated. “We want to reward exciting fights and decisive finishes.”

Driven by New Broadcast Deal

The move comes after the UFC secured a landmark seven-year U.S. broadcast deal with Paramount Skydance Corp., valued at $7.7 billion. UFC CEO Dana White initially hinted at increased bonuses following the agreement, and formally revealed the new structure to Sports Business Journal.

The UFC retains internal control over bonus selections at each event, and has historically awarded more than four bonuses on cards featuring exceptional performances. White has also demonstrated a willingness to raise bonus amounts on special occasions, such as increasing them to $300,000 each to commemorate UFC 300 in April 2024.

Gaethje and Oliveira Lead the Way

The new bonus structure is poised to benefit many fighters, but some have already established themselves as frequent recipients. Justin Gaethje, headlining UFC 324, currently ranks second all-time in fight night bonuses with 14 awards in his UFC career. The record is held by former champion Charles Oliveira, who has earned 21 bonuses throughout his tenure with the promotion.

The increased financial incentives represent a significant investment in the UFC’s athletes and a commitment to delivering more thrilling moments for fans.
