Mumbai: Rajasthan Royals entered the IPL play-offs by defeating Chennai Super Kings by five wickets. In today’s crucial match, Rajasthan overtook Chennai by 151 runs with two balls to spare.
Yashaswi Jaiswal, who scored a half-century, was also the top scorer with 40 off 23 balls. Ashwin is one of the most successful sculptors of Rajasthan. Rajasthan finished second with 18 points from 14 matches.

Batting first, Chennai won the toss and elected to bat. Mumbai scored 150 for six in the allotted 20 overs. This is the lowest IPL score on this ground. ..Chennai lost opener Rituraj Gaekwad’s wicket in the opening over but Moin Ali’s first powerplay shot helped Chennai a lot.
Moin Ali, who scored a half-century off 19 balls, was initially aggressive but took three wickets in a row before the England batsman stepped into the defense. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his team put on 51 runs for the fifth wicket but the run rate went down. At the end of the sixth over, Chennai’s run rate was 13 runs. At the end of the innings, the run rate was only 7.5. Only Moin Ali (93 off 57 balls) and Dhoni (26 off 28 balls) held on.
For Rajasthan, Yusvendra Chahal and Obed Makakoi took two wickets each, while Trent Boult and Ravichandran Ashwin took one wicket each.
