Former India captain Aakash Chopra has lashed out at Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson ahead of their final group stage clash in IPL 2022. Aakash Chopra says Sanju should change his style of play and not play in the current way.
Aakash Chopra blames the player’s natural style of play for attacking all the balls. Chopra says he should not try to hit all the balls he encounters and should stay longer at the crease.

‘The last time he played here, he was trying to cross every ball with a boundary. The problem is that it does not have to be successful every time.
If you hit all the balls, fours and sixes, you are more likely to run out. He should try to play more from time to time, ‘he says.
The last time (May 15) Rajasthan played against the Lucknow Super Giants was at the Brabourne Stadium. Sanju was dismissed for 32 off 24 balls.
After returning to the Hetmeyer team, Chopra said that Sanju should not have to worry about his batting order and should go down one day.
‘When Hetmeyer was absent, he once went down to fifth instead of third. But when Hetmeyer is in the team, Sanju doesn’t have to think about his batting order, ‘says Chopra.
Earlier, former players including Aakash Chopra had criticized Sanju Samson.
Currently, he has scored 359 runs in 13 matches at a massive strike rate of 153.42. Sanju has scored two half-centuries twice this season.
Rajasthan are all set to enter the play-offs after winning the match against Chennai. If they win the match against the former champions, they will be able to overtake the Lucknow Super Giants to finish second in the points table and secure the qualifiers.
