Indrani Mukherjee is the wife of Peter Mukherjee, who was in charge of popular private television. A native of Maharashtra, he was arrested by Mumbai police in 2015 for allegedly murdering his daughter Sheena Bora by her ex-husband. Sheena is said to have murdered Rahul, the son of Peter Mukherjee’s ex – wife by his ex – wife.
Indrani, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna, car driver Shyamwar Roy and later Peter Mukherjee have been arrested in the case and are lodged in a Mumbai jail. The CBI is investigating the case.
