Baby Visit & In-Law Hygiene: A Parent’s Dilemma

by Grace Chen

I’m raising a 3-month-old baby, and my in-laws come 1-2 times a week as they want to see the baby, and each time they come, they stay for 8-10 hours before leaving.^^ From morning until the baby falls asleep…

I always put my baby to bed around 7:30.
He keeps interfering with me by teasing me more and telling me to sleep later (they say that’s how I won’t wake up in the morning, but I’ve already done everything).
It’s not time to drink formula, but you keep trying to give it frequently, ruining the entire feeding cycle.
Anyway, there are a lot of difficulties ㅜㅜ

All things aside,the problem is
There is a small mat at home that the baby plays on.
You keep stepping on this.

When I step on it and pass by, I keep seeing something that looks like scraps from a sock, and I keep rolling it around…

I’m worried about my baby getting enteritis, so I wipe the mat every day. Even though I tell him not to step on it, he keeps stepping on it because it’s so convenient.

I don’t even understand why you’re spilling so much while eating in the first place.
Yesterday, you ate rice cake, and the mat was full of injeolmi powder.

Even if I push it with a rolling wheel,it keeps falling off my mother’s clothes ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

In my husband’s words
My mother has been a full-time housewife all her life, but she has never seen me run a vacuum cleaner.

After the baby was born, I worked hard to clean the baby’s living space (I’m not a tidy person by any means;; my mom came and told me to tidy up and live).

They say not to raise your baby too cleanly haha.

I’m not the kind of extreme mom who makes a fuss about disinfecting toys every day, but I just roll up dirty scraps…

It’s so stressful to come.
