What’s the significance of the Indonesia Women’s Open? This tournament serves as a crucial platform for Indonesian golfers to compete against some of the best in the Asia-Pacific region, and it marks the start of the APAC Circuit for the 2026 season.

Yoko and Wahyudi both finished the first round with a score of 68, four under par. Yoko, in her second appearance at the event, improved upon her score of 69 from the previous year. She acknowledged the initial nerves of playing on home soil.

“I was a bit nervous at the start, especially playing in my home country,” Yoko said in a written statement. “I tried to focus shot by shot. I missed a few on the greens that led to bogeys, then my caddie and I became more careful and it paid off.”

The opening round drew a field of 120 players, including 29 golfers representing Indonesia—13 professionals and 16 amateurs. Despite recent concerns about inclement weather, the tournament’s second edition proceeded as scheduled.

Wahyudi, an amateur golfer and a member of Indonesia’s SEA Games 2026 national team, demonstrated resilience after starting her round with a bogey. She rebounded with five birdies, attributing her success to consistent ball striking and a well-defined strategy.

“Today I followed the plan from the practice round,” Wahyudi explained. “Ball placing was good, shots were solid, and my short game worked, allowing me to finish four under.”

The Indonesia Women’s Open Presented by BTN 2026 follows the Taiwan Mobile Ladies Open, which was held in December 2025, as the opening tournament of the Asia-Pacific Circuit.

The tournament attracts elite golfers from more than 12 Asia-Pacific countries, including competitors from the KLPGA Dream Tour.
