The Senior Mobile Software Engineer will tackle complex challenges in mobile collaboration and productivity, focusing on the core fundamentals of the Microsoft Teams mobile request – available on both iOS and Android. Key responsibilities include:

  • Addressing and resolving issues in core mobile application functionality as the platform evolves.
  • Improving and evolving the mobile system architecture to enhance development agility, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Designing features incrementally, informed by a deep understanding of mobile usage scenarios and the competitive landscape, to achieve well-defined long-term goals.
  • Owning the complete lifecycle – from design and implementation to delivery – of high-quality solutions that directly impact customer experience, app reliability, and App Store ratings.
  • Collaborating effectively across various application layers, partner services, and cross-organizational teams to ensure shared success.

required and Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with at least four years of technical engineering experience with proficiency in coding languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Experience in mobile development specifically for either iOS or Android is also essential.

While not required, preferred qualifications include familiarity with the following technologies: #teamscore, #teams, #cap, #ios, #swift, #android, #kotlin, and #java.

Compensation and Application Details

This position is classified as a Software Engineering IC4, with a typical base pay range of CAD $114,400 to CAD $203,900 per year across Canada. Detailed compensation details can be found here.

The position will remain open for a minimum of five days, with applications accepted on a rolling basis until the role is filled. all applicants will be required to pass a Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
