A complicated situation is unfolding for 43-year-old singer Fang Shunji, who is now embroiled in allegations of an affair. Accusations surfaced claiming he secretly met with a married woman, leading to claims of harassment and threats. The drama escalated when a man identifying himself as the woman’s boyfriend demanded 168,888 yuan from Fang Shunji, suggesting a potential extortion scheme.
Responding to the accusations, Fang Shunji took to Facebook to announce he had filed a police report. He stated, “Is this a fairy jump? The reporting process is complete, and all information has been turned over to the police and lawyers for handling. I won’t waste time explaining the process. Thank you to the media for your concern, but I don’t want to expend social resources on trivial matters.”
Fang Shunji has made it clear he will not be holding any interviews or press conferences, deferring all further investigation to law enforcement and legal counsel. He also announced that any potential compensation received would be donated to the Taiwan Xiangyang Care Association (Yunlin branch) after legal fees are deducted. Notably, he included a statement explicitly stating he has no intention of taking his own life.
The police are currently investigating the matter. Fang Shunji’s response has been firm and measured, prioritizing the efficient use of public resources and demonstrating support for charitable organizations.
