The company projected first-quarter revenue between $178 million and $180 million, which is below the consensus estimate of $186.4 million. This conservative guidance suggests that Confluent anticipates continued headwinds in the near term. The slowdown in revenue growth is particularly concerning given the company’s position in the rapidly expanding data streaming market.
Cloud Revenue Remains a Bright Spot
Despite the overall disappointment, Confluent’s cloud revenue offered a glimmer of hope. Cloud revenue reached $86.3 million, representing a substantial 32% year-over-year increase. this indicates strong demand for Confluent’s cloud-based data streaming solutions.
However, even the positive cloud revenue wasn’t enough to offset the broader concerns about the company’s financial performance. Investors are closely watching whether Confluent can effectively navigate the competitive landscape and accelerate its growth
