Calvary Christian School Celebrates February Seniors of the Month: Lambert and Beatty

Calvary Christian School has recognized Fletch Lambert and Laileigh Beatty as its February Seniors of the Month, honoring their achievements and contributions to the school community. Both students exemplify dedication, leadership, and a commitment to their faith, as they prepare for life beyond high school.
Fletch lambert: A Passion for Sports and Faith
Fletch Lambert, son of Tyan and Randy Lambert, is a standout athlete and active member of the Calvary Christian School community. His involvement includes participation in Soccer, FCA (Fellowship of Christian athletes), and Basketball. Lambert’s passion extends beyond the playing field, as he shared, “I’m passionate about sports.”
lambert credits his parents and Mr. Davis as key influences in his life. He stated that his mother and father have been “real inspirations,” while Mr. Davis instilled in him “how important it is to let God take control.” This spiritual guidance is reflected in his chosen verse, John 13:7, which has had a strong impact on his life.
His most impactful high school activity has been Soccer,and he plans to attend college – though the specific institution remains undecided – to pursue studies in business or sports management. Lambert believes his time at Calvary Christian School has been instrumental in “solidifying my biblical worldview.” He offers simple, yet effective advice to incoming freshmen: “It’s not as bad as people say.Just work hard.”
Laileigh Beatty: Leadership, Service, and Creative Pursuits
Laileigh Beatty, daughter of Greg and Ashley Beatty, is a multifaceted student leader with a diverse range of interests. She actively participates in Key Club, serving as its secretary, NHS (National honor Society), and the Calvary Girls Basketball Team, where she is a captain in her senior year.Beatty has dedicated four years to Varsity basketball and has also led two basketball camps for middle school girls.she also contributes to the Chapel worship team and serves as Secretary of the senior Class Council.
A memorable moment for beatty occurred during her freshman year basketball season. She recounted a team party where their coach, Lee Reinhard, unexpectedly delivered a freestyle rap about their successful season, a moment captured on video.
Beyond her extracurricular commitments, Beatty enjoys reading and has independently learned skills in hair and nail styling, as well as crocheting, creating hats and blankets in her free time. Her mother serves as her primary inspiration, as Beatty explained, “She does so much and takes care of me and my seven younger siblings… She has taught me so much.”
Beatty finds strength and affirmation in Psalm 139:14, which reminds her that she is “fearfully and wonderfully made.” She credits Basketball as her most impactful high school activity, teaching her patience and the importance of hard work. After graduating, Beatty plans to take a gap year before pursuing education in cosmetology at apollo Career Center. She believes Calvary Christian School has equipped her to “learn how to see the world through Christian lenses” and engage with diverse perspectives.Her advice to incoming high school students is refreshingly candid: “Be awkward. Talk to people even if you don’t know them. You’ll have so much more fun if you just open up and talk to people, even if you feel awkward. It’s worth it!”
