New Allegations of Sexual Encounter with Prince Andrew Surface as Epstein Emails Reveal Deep Ties to Sarah Ferguson
A second woman has come forward alleging a sexual encounter with Prince Andrew facilitated by Jeffrey Epstein, prompting legal representatives to demand a formal apology from King Charles’s legal team. The allegations, revealed Friday, coincide with the release of over 3 million pages of documents related to Epstein, exposing a network of connections involving the British royal family and the disgraced financier.
Fresh Claims and Demand for Accountability
Lawyers representing the new accuser, who is not believed to be British and was in her 20s at the time of the alleged incident, claim she spent the night with Prince Andrew at Royal Lodge in 2010 and was subsequently given a tour of Buckingham Palace. Brad Edwards, of the US law firm Edwards Henderson, previously shared details of the case with the BBC.
“Andrew’s power only existed because of his royal family,” stated Brittany Henderson, also of Edwards Henderson, in a statement to PA Media. “Andrew’s complicity and involvement with Epstein and Maxwell has been well known to us, to Andrew, and to the palace for many years.” The legal team is not seeking Prince Andrew’s testimony in the United States, arguing that “we hardly need more people over here spinning grand stories.” Instead, they are calling for a significant gesture of accountability from the royal family.
“For the royal family to maintain any level of credibility in the eyes of the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein, the legal team for the king should contact me immediately in a good faith effort to learn what Andrew has done, meet whomever he has done it to, issue a sincere and real apology, and ensure that any victims of Andrew are fairly compensated for this wrongdoing,” Henderson asserted.
Epstein Documents Expose Sarah Ferguson’s Relationship with Disgraced Financier
The newly released documents from the US Department of Justice paint a picture of a remarkably close relationship between Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and Jeffrey Epstein. The emails reveal a pattern of financial dependence and effusive praise from Ferguson towards Epstein.
In a 2009 email, Ferguson wrote to Epstein: “Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for.” A year later, in 2010, she sent another message stating: “You are a legend. I really don’t have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Xx I am at your service. Just marry me.”
The correspondence also details Ferguson’s desperate financial situation, with a 2009 email pleading for £20,000 ($27,521) to avoid a public scandal over unpaid rent. “I urgently need 20,000 pounds ($27,521) for rent today. The landlord has threatened to go to the newspapers if I don’t pay. Any brainwaves?” she wrote.
Family Involvement and Controversial Interactions
The emails further reveal that Ferguson and her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, attended a lunch with Epstein in July 2009, shortly after his release from prison following a conviction for sex offenses with a minor. An exchange shows Epstein inquiring about Ferguson’s whereabouts, to which she replied, “In Miami. What number shall I call you on now,” adding that she was with her daughters and aiming to meet him for lunch.
Other communications suggest Ferguson attempted to leverage her royal connections for Epstein, with an email claiming she could “organize tea in the Buckingham Palace apts. or Windsor Castle.” A particularly startling email from 2011 shows Ferguson congratulating Epstein on the birth of a “baby boy,” a claim she said she heard from “The Duke.” Later, she expressed hurt and suspicion, writing that it was “soo crystal clear to me that you were only friends with me to get to Andrew. And that really hurt me deeeply [sic]. More than you will know.”
One email from March 2010 simply reads “ny?” from Epstein, with a reply stating, “Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a shagging weekend!!”
Ongoing Scrutiny and Royal Response
Prince Andrew has consistently denied allegations of sexual assault, including those made by Virginia Giuffre, with whom he settled a civil case for a reported $12 million without admitting liability. In October, he was stripped of his royal titles and removed from his position as a working royal.
A Buckingham Palace statement released at the time affirmed, “Their majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.” However, the new allegations and the damning evidence from the Epstein documents are likely to intensify scrutiny of Prince Andrew and the royal family’s relationship with the convicted sex offender, raising questions about the adequacy of the current response and fueling calls for a more comprehensive reckoning.
