Baystate Health Bolsters Leadership with Key HR Appointments
Baystate Health is reinforcing its commitment to a people-centered workforce with the appointments of two new vice presidents, effective January 12 and January 26. The additions of Jen Azuri-Humm and Jennifer Stehman are designed to strengthen the organization’s enterprise-wide human resources strategy.
Strengthening Talent Acquisition and HR Strategy
The appointments signal a strategic investment in Baystate Health’s most valuable asset: its people. According to a company release, the moves will help build a high-performing workforce equipped to meet the evolving demands of the healthcare landscape.
Jen Azuri-Humm to Lead Talent Acquisition
Jen Azuri-Humm will assume the role of vice president, Talent Acquisition and Provider Recruitment, beginning January 12. In this capacity, she will spearhead the organization’s strategy for attracting and hiring diverse, highly qualified individuals across all roles. Her responsibilities will encompass executive recruitment, team member hiring, physician and provider recruitment, campus relations, community partnerships, employment branding, and workforce planning.
Azuri-Humm brings over 18 years of experience in organizational strategy, spanning both the healthcare and technology sectors, including experience with public and private equity-backed organizations. Most recently, she served as vice president, Talent Acquisition at Emory Healthcare in Georgia, a large health system comprising 13 hospitals and over 425 provider locations. Prior to Emory, Azuri-Humm held leadership positions at Soar Autism Center (Brighton Health Partners), Bonterra, and Inovalon. She holds a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies from the University of Delaware.
Jennifer Stehman to Drive HR Transformation
Effective January 26, Jennifer Stehman will join Baystate Health as vice president, HR Strategy & Consulting. Stehman will be responsible for redefining the partnership between HR and the business across Baystate Health and Health New England. Her role will focus on setting strategy for HR business partner and consulting functions, ensuring compliance oversight, managing labor strategy, overseeing employee relations, and enhancing employee health services and leave programs.
Stehman possesses more than 20 years of progressive HR leadership experience within complex, multi-site healthcare systems. She previously served as senior director, Human Resources for the UPMC North Central Pennsylvania Region, a six-hospital system supporting approximately 5,000 employees. Before UPMC, she was a regional Human Resources director at St. Luke’s University Health Network. Stehman’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, an MBA in operations management from the University of Scranton, and a senior HR business partner certification.
These appointments reflect Baystate Health’s proactive approach to building a resilient and engaged workforce, positioning the organization for continued success in a dynamic healthcare environment.
