D-Wave has selected Boca Raton for its new corporate headquarters and U.S. research and development site.
The new headquarters will promote the development of quantum computing, the construction of technical talent teams and innovation in Florida, and accelerate the state’s pace of becoming a quantum technology center.
The facility will serve as a key development center for D-Wave annealing quantum computers.
Palo Alto, California and Boca Raton, Florida – January 27, 2026 –D-Wave Quantum Inc. (NYSE: QBTS) (“D-Wave” or the “Company”), the only dual-platform quantum computing company offering annealing and gate model systems, software and services, today announced that it has selected Boca Raton, Florida as the location for its new corporate headquarters and critical U.S. research and development (R&D) facilities. D-Wave, a US company that has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2022, plans to move its headquarters from Palo Alto, California to Boca Raton, Florida by the end of 2026.
The move to Boca Raton comes amid growing interest in and demand for D-Wave quantum computing technology and systems. By establishing a key R&D center in Boca Raton, D-Wave expects to further advance its annealing quantum systems roadmap by leveraging core R&D, testing and support functions centralized within the new facility. In addition, the move allows D-Wave to implement a cross-coast layout for system redundancy in the event of disaster recovery. The new company will be headquartered in the historic Boca Raton Innovation Center (BRiC). BRiC combines a rich technological heritage with modern infrastructure, and a strong focus on community and innovation, making it a unique landmark place in South Florida.
