In the full seven days of mourning for the family of the late Noam Raz, a YMCA fighter who was killed during an exchange of gunfire during the arrest of a terrorist on the outskirts of Jenin, the family members went to the military cemetery today (Sunday) for his memorial service. The ceremony was accompanied by unit commanders and fighters, the Border Police, and friends of the fighter and family.
The ceremony was held in the presence of the Commander-in-Chief, the Lieutenant Colonel H., the Commanders and Commanders of the Command and the Border Police. “Noam, you touched us all. You made us better and promote a meaningful life,” she added. “Even in your death you added life. That’s how it is, the righteous in their death called life. You have more united the family, the Kida community, all of Benjamin and all the people in an endless chain. We stand and marvel. Your life continues to appear here in the land.”
“We promise that we will try to continue living through us. You were very happy, we will continue to live like this. The love and longing for you grows day by day,” Efrat concluded. “Pray for us from above the song written for us: ‘The beautiful generation of the world, my soul is sick of your love, please do not heal her, and show her Noam’.
