The selectors dismissed Sanju, who had excelled as a captain and batsman in the IPL, and Tripathi, who came out on top for Hyderabad.
IPL commentator and former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden has praised Rahul Tripathi’s performance in the IPL. Hayden said on a talk show on Star Sports that Tripathi’s ability to attack from the start and his ability to hit short pitches were what attracted him the most.
