Kochi: A Red Corner notice has been issued against Vijay Babu, the absconding accused in the case of molesting a newcomer actress. Vijay Babu has informed the passport officer that he is on a business tour and will return on May 24. However, Kochi City Police Commissioner CH Nagaraju said that if Vijay Babu does not show up on Tuesday, a Red Corner notice will be issued and the embassy will be contacted.

He added that the police team would go to Georgia if necessary and consider it. Georgia has no agreement with India to extradite criminals. It is in this context that the police intend to issue a Red Corner Notice. Efforts are on to find out where Vijay Babu is in Georgia.
