VDuring the wedding ceremony, the groom’s wig fell off and the wedding was called off. The wig was also going down when the groom fell head over heels during the ceremony. After realizing that the groom was bald, the bride withdrew from the wedding.
The incident took place in Unnao in Uttar Pradesh. According to national media reports, the groom hid his baldness from the bride and family.
Despite the best efforts of the family, the bride did not consent to the marriage. Eventually the police arrived on the scene. The panchayat meeting was called. But the bride stood firm.
With this, the two families reached an agreement. The bride’s family spent Rs 5.66 lakh on the ceremony. The groom’s family promised to pay the money.
