by time news

As the spread of the corona virus has brought the world to a standstill, the spread of monkey pox has caused fear among the nations of the world.

Commonly found in Africa, the virus was first detected in monkeys in 1958. The virus was first identified in humans in 1970 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The virus has been spreading in Nigeria and Congo since 2017. It is currently spreading in the United States, Canada, Australia and many European countries. The infection was newly confirmed last Friday in Belgium, France and Germany. So far it has spread to 80 people in 12 countries.

In this situation, the Department of Public Health has issued a notice that those who have visited the countries affected by monkey pox in the last 21 days should provide information. The Medical Secretary has written to all the District Collectors and Corporation Commissioners in this regard. Those who were in contact with those who had symptoms of monkeypox abroad in that letter should immediately report it. All patients suspected of having monkeypox infection should be isolated. If monkeypox is suspected, their blood and mucus samples will be sent to Pune for analysis.
