Ravichandran Aswin is the leading all-rounder of the Rajasthan Royals in the current IPL season. Shining as India’s spin bowling hero, he has been batting for the 3rd and 4th wicket of the IPL this season.
In particular, he scored 43 off 23 balls in the last league match against Chennai and was instrumental in Rajasthan’s victory.
Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has praised Aswin for his achievements in the IPL.
Commenting on Aswin, he said, “Aswin started his career as a starting batsman. He is now a great spinner. He has proven that he can play well in any order. He knows very well how to play in any order.
He has also scored five Test centuries. So he can bat and he knows it. Ashwin has proved that he can make that batting “ultra short format” and feature in the Indian squad for the World Cup in Australia. That is his goal, which is why he is so excited about his own batting performance. Gavaskar said
