The base Authentic trim, equipped with a 1.0-liter turbo engine and manual transmission, starts at approximately $11,400. The Launch Edition, featuring a 1.3-liter turbo engine and a dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), begins at around $19,800 – a price point comparable to the base models of similar SUVs available in Europe. This pricing strategy is a key factor in the Duster’s appeal, particularly given that the vehicle is locally produced in India, reducing manufacturing costs and component sourcing expenses.
The Duster will face competition from established players in the Indian SUV segment, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, MG Astor, and the upcoming Nissan Tekton.
