Emmanuel Macron at Fort Brégançon for the Ascension

by time news

The first real break after several busy months. After the diplomatic negotiations, the presidential campaign, the legislative nominations of the candidates of his camp (for which he was personally involved) and the composition of the new government, Emmanuel Macron takes a break.

In this week of the Ascension Bridge, celebrated this Thursday, May 26, the Head of State is going to rest until the weekend in the presidential residence of Brégançon. “It will be a studious rest”, believes a relative, since Emmanuel Macron will take some files with him and will seek to think about the follow-up, and in particular the implementation of his campaign promises.

No visits from foreign guests

At the Élysée, where we do not dwell on the subject, we only indicate that no official trip is planned this week. This stay in Brégançon should not give rise to official visits from foreign guests, as was the case during the summer stays of the president on the spot.

These few days away from Paris will be an opportunity for the president to breathe before a dense recovery: extraordinary European summit in Brussels, May 30 and 31. Then field trips on the priorities of the new five-year term: ecology, school, health, etc. Finally, the G7 summit in Germany and NATO in Spain at the end of June.
