New Delhi: Indian Youth Grand Master Pragyananda Ramesh Babu has reached the semi-finals of the Chessable Masters Online Chess Tournament. Pragyananda advanced to the semifinals after defeating world champion and No. 1 seed Magnus Carlsen in the fifth round to advance to the semifinals by defeating Wei (2.5-1.5). In the semi-finals, Pragyananda will face Dutchman Anish Giri.
Earlier in the day, 16-year-old Pragyananda Carlson was defeated in a tournament in February.
