Gokulam Basundhara loses to Kings (2-1)

Kolkata: AFC Gokulam Kerala lost to Bangladesh club Basundhara Kings in the cup. Basundhara’s 2-1 victory at Salt Lake Stadium on Tuesday. Meanwhile, ATK defeated Maldives club Masia. Mohan Bagan advanced to the knockout stage. Bagan won 5-2.
Basundhara took the lead in the 36th minute through Robinho’s goal against Gokul. Noah Marong (54) took the lead in the second half. Gokulam then scored a goal through Jordan Fletcher (75) but could not find the equalizer. ATK against Masiya. Mohun Bagan’s Johnny Kauko (26, 37) scored a double. Roy Krishna, Subhashish Bose (58) and Carl McHugh (71) scored the goals.
Bagan, who had earlier beaten Basundhara, came out on top in Group D with six points. In the first match, Gokulam defeated ATK. Mohan had defeated Bagan.
