STOCKHOLM, May 26 – The European Union’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 219 people worldwide have had smallpox in several countries outside Africa.

The EU Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) said in a statement updating the situation of the smallpox outbreak on Wednesday night. There are dozens of countries where at least one rare case of monkeypox has been reported in dozens of countries, most of which are European countries.
