Federal government allows Indian swimmers and badminton players to train in Dubai

Rs 8.7 lakh has been earmarked for the training of swimmer Aryan.

Aryan Nehra, 18, of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, excels in the 1,500-meter freestyle event.

He won 5 gold medals in the last 2017 competition held in Malaysia.

Swimmer Aryan Nehra has requested to train at the Aqua National Sports Center in Dubai to prepare for the World Youth Swimming Championships in August this year.

This has been approved by the Indian Olympic Division. Rs 8.7 lakh has been allocated for his training. The 90-day training is scheduled to be completed in August.

This includes airfare, accommodation, coaching, and transportation.

Similarly, members of the Olympic Division Steering Committee endorsed Laxmiasen’s request to train in Dubai with world number one badminton player Victor Axelsson.

Lakshya Sen, who was part of the Indian team that won the Thomas Cup this month, plans to train with Victor Axelsson in training in Dubai from May 29 to June 5.

Later, Laksayasen decided to attend a training camp in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, from June 19 to 26.
