Ofir Kopel (Moshe Hermon)
After Ismail Amer left Hapoel Rishon Lezion and was appointed coach of Maccabi Achi Nazareth, the club from the city of wine appointed his assistant at the end of last season, Ofir Kopel, to replace him on the lines next season in the national league.
“I am happy to be appreciated for my work in the youth team, for the opportunity and trust in me to coach the senior team. I will do everything I can to contribute from my experience as a past player and as a coach for the club’s success and promoting home players,” Koppel said of the appointment.
As you may recall, Amer led the Oranges to survival after the team finished in 14th place in the regular season and was dragged to the tests against Hapoel Kfar Shalem from League A South, in a game in which they won 1: 3. Koppel will replace after coaching the youth of the Oranges, was the professional director of the department and at the end of the season also served as the assistant coach in the seniors.
