Washington: A meeting of the Asian-American and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Commission was held earlier this month. At that meeting, the US House of Representatives recommended that government websites be translated into Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi and other Asian languages.

Following this, the Chancellor’s Advisory Council on Asian-Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders approved the recommendations. However, it has been suggested that the final decision on this should be taken by the House of Chancellors.
